[Your Library] Edit track metadata

Apple Music has this neat feature that allows users to edit track metadata for all tracks added to the user's library. This is most useful for putting custom artwork for albums or removing (Deluxe) or (Remastered) tags on albums, and removing parentheses in track titles. This feature is also useful for scrobbling with Last.fm, a feature that is not built into Apple Music. Custom artwork for albums is a popular feature on Apple as fans can use their fan-made artwork in screenshots.

Being able to edit track and album metadata on Spotify would be great for people like me who love to micro-manage their music library.

I, too, would like to see an option to hide album art. The images on some album covers is not safe for work (desktop version) and too explicit to be shown on my phone in the car with others. Interestingly, many of these albums or songs are not marked as explicit. The lyrics aren't explicit, but they want to express themselves with the art images. I'm happy to let them perform and express themselves as they like, but I'd like to hide the visual artwork on the album and songs.

Without this feature, I listen to Spotify less. If you'd like more of my money, please add this feature.

Yes. I love displaying album art when listening to music in school, and I keep my phone up so I can look at which song is playing. However some songs I listen to have sexually explicit art, or gore as the cover. Wish I could hide it for those songs

This is not just for PC, but also for phone and have it extend into CarPlay.

How come it still hasn't been added yet? Been over 10 years.

Yes, I've had to remove Spotify from my children's devices for this reason.

The other solution this would solve, is when you have multiple apps open at the same time, the artwork more often than not covers the song and artist because it's all the same color.

I agree!!! This would be the number one thing for me that would make me stick with Spotify. I would feel so much more comfortable exploring popular playlists if I could block the album art and not have to worry about seeing things that I don't really want to see; if you're using Spotify there's really no way to guarantee that you won't see album covers of people with little to no clothes on, which is a bummer.

blu_banisters

Yes! I have wanted to be able to change album covers for a very long time!

Birdsman

Yes please add this option! It would be an excellent feature.
