[Your Library] Edit track metadata

Apple Music has this neat feature that allows users to edit track metadata for all tracks added to the user's library. This is most useful for putting custom artwork for albums or removing (Deluxe) or (Remastered) tags on albums, and removing parentheses in track titles. This feature is also useful for scrobbling with Last.fm, a feature that is not built into Apple Music. Custom artwork for albums is a popular feature on Apple as fans can use their fan-made artwork in screenshots.

Being able to edit track and album metadata on Spotify would be great for people like me who love to micro-manage their music library.

Spotify is allowing pornography on its platform. Period. Audio tracks of **bleep**? Explicit album art? Videos? Yup, all available. All of that can still be browsed and viewed regardless of the explicit filter is on. Explicit filter should hide ALL that trash. Including album art, and song titles. I am exploring other platforms for my family of 7.

Funny that my comment was auto filtered with **bleep** for mentioning p0-rn. But it is totally an allowed search term with results literally titled “Audio p0r-rrn”

this is what I'm trying to fix. I mean honestly take whatever theme is being used for "drive mode" and apply that background. I like having all the buttons that driving mode takes away, but I can't read the song name or artist.

Or you can just shrink the album size, that would work too I think.

Please push this through to the devs. The "Remastered" tag in song titles needs to go.

Allow songs initially released as singles to display their original artwork, rather than defaulting automatically to the album artwork.

For example, the album cover for Lady Gaga's Mayhem does not fit at all fit the vibe of 'Die With a Smile', which had bright and colorful artwork that featured both artists on it instead of just Gaga.

This change would allow for greater visual variety when browsing through playlists as well.

I ve always wanted  to see alternative covers from albuns on stream platforms, this would allow us to be abble to use alternative covers, and I would love

it's been almost four years since the "suggestion reached the internal teams at spotify"

YES! This would be awesome. I recently suggested being able to sort albums not only by Creator but also by year of release, just so they would show up in order instead of just scrambled, but with the ability to edit the metadata of an album, along with the corresponding search facility, we would have so much more control over the way the library section is displayed. Here's my (comparatively simple) suggestion: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Live-Ideas/Your-Library-Add-option-to-sort-albums-by-Artist-then-by...

Do we have any updates on this idea being implemented? It has the Live Idea status and the Spotify team hasn't provided an update. They released lower-priority features like Messages but don't give priority to a feature that would improve the user experience of the app. Any information or updates on it would be greatly appreciated.
