[Your Library] Keep lyrics up at all times

I like having the lyrics accessible, and having to swipe up and click lyrics is a pain. Instead of the album cover, it would be awesome to have the option to have the lyrics there instead!

Been 4 years since this suggestion was brought up and 1+ year since it became a good suggestion, Spotify still won't implement a single toggle for lyrics page.

I binned it and back to Apple Music now.

It’s just so handy, as soon as I open the app, even after being force closed, it remembers I was on lyrics and there they are !

Why are you leaving ? Asks Spotify questionnaire  … no perma lyrics option … and I’m not paying more for less options.. 

£19.99 for Spotify family compared to £16.99 for Apple Music family. 

I know I’m just a nobody and they won’t miss me, but,,

Hoping we can get a setting for this, I really enjoy reading the lyrics up while listening.

Currently, when Spotify plays a track that has lyrics associated with it, the user is forced to scroll down and click on the lyrics section to display the lyrics. When the track ends and the next track begins playing, the display moves back to the default, and the user is once again forced to scroll down and select the lyrics section. If the lyrics section isn’t selected, the user’s phone screen locks. This is less than ideal, especially when the user cannot actively scroll on the app while listening (for example in the shower). 
my suggestion is to add an option that when a new track begins playing, the lyrics are automatically displayed (if lyrics are available for that track). This will prevent the users’ phones from screen-locking.

It's quite absurd that a paid subscription service hasn't implemented such a simple option in over 4 years... A dev could probably make a "lock lyrics" toggle button on the lyrics session in 10 minutes at most and deploy that to make everyone happy.

This is exactly why I left and went to Apple Music .. lossless quality and lyrics always on .. even after force quitting it remembers lyrics on .. 😅 .. plus cheaper… 😊 win win 😁
….and it’s just music … none of that other **bleep**

If I'm playing Spotify on my phone at the gym and choose the lyrics view - I really need it to stay in lyrics view when the song changes - this functionality is on the app on the TVs at home but not on my phone/mobile device. It would be really handy.
