[Your Library] Keep lyrics up at all times

I like having the lyrics accessible, and having to swipe up and click lyrics is a pain. Instead of the album cover, it would be awesome to have the option to have the lyrics there instead!

Greetings,

My suggestion is to allow when on the "Lyrics" page, and a song ends and a new one starts in Desktop, Web, and Phone Spotify Apps that the transition does not quit the lyrics screen and shows the player screen.

This is one of the most frustrating behaviors in my opinion in Spotify. If I'm reproducing my playlist and selecting the Lyrics screen, let me stay there. Currently, I have to go back to the lyrics screen each time that a song changes, terribly annoying.

Why is this a vital feature:
In Desktop and Mobile, screens go to Sleep mode when not on the Lyrics screen. Annoying when you are listening to songs and looking at the Lyrics when doing something else like Cooking, Running, or Working (ehem ehem) and you can't touch the screen or the mouse every time a song changes or it is annoying to do so.

The full-screen view of the lyrics should be pursued when the player switches to the next song. I should continue to see the lyrics if I'd already chosen to be on that screen the song before.

Most of the time, when I use this feature, I leave my phone on the side, and I like the convenience of having the lyrics flow on the side so that I can glance at them every now and then. But currently, the mobile app defaults to the top of the player screen when the next song starts playing, and I end up having to scroll down and click on the tiny full-screen icon on the upper right corner of the lyrics box.

(I'm on the iOS app version: 9.0.18.548)

I wish it was the same as on desktop. The lyrics stay for all songs until it's turned off

THIS.

I have an iPhone but I still chose Spotify over Apple Music because I preferred Spotify's UI but now I feel some regret regarding my decision. My friend was driving the other day, she went on Apple Music, clicked play and pulled up the lyrics for me to sing along. You should've seen my face when I realized her lyrics page stays there even when the song changes.

At a later date SHE noticed how crappy Spotify's lyrics UI is and I was embarrassed explaining it's always been like that.

This is sooooo embarrassing honestly and it's making me question my decision to go with Spotify 5 years ago.

This is especially great to have available in Tesla (while not Driving) and also if it's on a desktop. But it's so useful when just singing along by yourself with the mobile phone. Right now, it's cumbersome to always have to shift to Lyrics when it shuffles to the next song and it's especially harder to get it faster now that you've worked hard to do a seamless transition from one song to the other, our fingers can't keep up! Help us music lover and karaoke singers out!!

I love having lyrics up while I'm doing certain chores. It's a shame, because this is a feature available on PC, so I don't understand why it wasn't added to phones.

Users should be able to turn on the lyrics feature even if that particular song doesnt have lyrics. It is a simple but elegant suggestion to prevent people like me from being frustrated when I want the Lyrics to be on in general but I have to wait for a song with lyrics!!

I love Spotify, but the fact that lyrics aren’t always visible (like Apple Music’s persistent lyrics) is a huge downside. If this doesn’t change soon, I’ll have to switch back.

It would be great if Spotify offered a setting to keep the lyrics panel open by default across all songs. Currently, users need to manually open lyrics for each track or session, which can be inconvenient—especially for those who love to follow along with the music. A toggle in the settings (like “Always Show Lyrics”) would greatly improve the experience for lyric-focused listeners.
