[Your Library] Search within all Playlists

Often, I'd like to find a song within one of my saved playlists.  I have a few playlists with over a thousand songs and this becomes difficult.  If I really want to listen to a certain song, I end up doing a general search, but then I have to go back to my playlist to continue listening there.  I'd like to be able to search within a playlist and then continue listening from that playlist.

I was surprised to find that this is not possible. It seems an obvious feature to be able to search for songs within your playlists.

To @Spotify:  what gives, why won't you implement this basic request? If Excel gives users formulas to find strings in arrays, then why can't an app like Spotify that's used by hundreds of millions of people implement a stupidly simple function? SMH -- tho in this case, I am scratching and not just shaking 🙄.

Would be so much better if I could search my own library for singular songs instead of albums, artist and playlist. Like why cant it just automatically search the playlist for a song so I don't have to go through all 50 of them trying to remember something

Currently, we can only search for playlist names in the library. But sometimes I don't remember the name of a playlist, I only remember the name of the song I want to listen to. It's not feasible to keep opening each playlist to search for the song, Spotify urgently needs a tool to search for music in the library. You may wonder, since I know the name of the song, why not search in Spotify's general search. I usually do this, but for example, today I wanted to listen to a song called Love. How many songs with that name are there? To make matters worse, in the general search, Spotify doesn't even prioritize showing the songs you have saved, the criteria are different. I have dozens of playlists saved since 2021, it was impossible to locate the song.

• WOW I can't believe this feature is actually not a thing. Upvote for 2025!! I make a new playlist 3-4 times a year with 6-8 hours of the music I'm listening to at the time. Just spent an hour looking through years of individual playlists trying to find a particular cover of a particular song.

DUDE! That's you Spotify. I have 100 playlists because I'm a creator who needs everything organized by instrument, genre, mood, etc. Search entire library by song title is SOOOO basic. And it should tell me what playlist the song is in. Because organization. Get this one developed. JFC?!?

I think there should be a place to search for the song we want in playlists on Spotify.

until spotify implements this feature you can use a free 3rd party app www.spotifyfinder.com to search across playlists and also find duplicates across playlists.
