There should be an option to see how many times you listened to a song.

There could be a Favorite Songs tab, etc.

You would have to enable it in the settings?

There are a few services out there that tie into the Spotify API to give you some insight to your favourite songs, though they're not within the app (which would be better!)

This one gives a high level view of your spotify usage

This one gives an extremely detailed and multi-leveled approach to favourite songs/ artists based on different time spans. I use it all the time

A long long time ago you used to be able to see how many times you listened to a song. Simple to add back, I really miss this.

This is one thing I really hope Spotify can have, as it would allow users to see their top songs based on number of times they listened to it. It would also be interesting to see how many times you’ve heard the song. Even better if we could have this feature by month or year (but its fine without!) I just really hope Spotify can consider this!
