allow paying users to disable recommendation of podcasts

There is a  market for allowing users to curate their own feeds, and disable completely the discovery mechanisms and recommendation engines for those users who simply are not interested using them.

if we are PAYING for a service, we should be able to configure that service to our requirements, not the petty requirements of a marketing department.

paying users who want to opt in and out of the curated feeds forced upon free users will be free to do so, but those of us who are prepared to pay to remove advertisements from their feed should also be offered that courtesy with respect to being able to avoid the agenda being forced upon free users.

I completely agree. The podcast and audiobook recommendations feel like unnecessary clutter for someone who primarily uses Spotify for music.
