Came back to check in, still no HomePod support and we’re coming on what…. 3 years since the first Apple event that mentioned third party support for music apps for HomePod ? Disrespectful on Spotify’s part.

Yeah so going through the demo for Apple Music now. 

So far they have:

1. Airplay 2 natively and it works amazing
2. Higher quality sonics - music sounds richer and more vibrant
3. A total focus on music

Hmmmm. My partner of ten years is also trialing Apple Music after saying she would never switch. 

Spotify has become the Google of Music Streaming. How embarrassing that an AI DJ and the twitter spaces ripoff, "Project Green room",  that literally NOBODY asked for got released widely but Airplay 2 which has been heavily requested for 4 years has not. 

I'll go with the real MUSIC service. Bye Bye spotify.

cancelled today and let them know it’s because they are focusing on the wrong things. 

the mba marketers have taken over at Spotify and it shows. 

glad to have moved on from a company that does not listen to its customers.

It's been more than 4.5 years since this thread started and more than 2 years since Spotify promised to add AirPlay 2. False promises it seems.

Honestly I dont need Homepod Support anymore with the integration of SiriAPI. However, if you cant listen to a song without connection issues as buffer with regular Airplay is awful Spotify is not worth it. This is a giant target group, even compared with Homepop users. It's every iPhone user who wants to connect to Sonos, Bose and nearly every system out there… Promised early this year that they did not forget about it, but Spotify has some serious memory loss problem
