Recently, I have purchased two exactly same models of DAB radios supporting Spotify connect. One is in my daughter's room and the second in my own room. When I want to connect to one of them, I can't make distinction as both have the same name in the list on my iPhone.
I know there were a few similar ideas posted here on how to resolve this issue with custom renaming a list of devices, but it seems to be too complicated for development (I am a developer myself as well).
As every Spotify device has to have a unique ID (probably in the form of a GUID), why don't you just display that ID (or just part of it) next to the displayed name (or below), so that we can clearly see which one are we connecting to?
This should not be a difficult thing to do, as you already have that ID as the information in the application, otherwise how does the app knows which one to connect to. Surely it does not use the name of the device, right?
