[iOS] Siri Shortcuts Support

PREFACE:

With the release of iOS 12, iPhone users can now utilize Shortcuts to make the most of their daily routines by automating tasks and steps in both native and third party apps. Currently, the extent to which Spotify can be utilized via Shortcuts is to simply Open App.

IDEA:

I wish to see more options and a wider scope of utility of Spotify in Shortcuts to the capacity of playing specific playlists when I leave my home, and adding the current song to a new custom playlist that I can name, or even copying a song link to a tweet. I know the Shortcut app would be capable of handling a workflow along those lines but it seems it would require a bit more generosity from the Spotify app.

I'm looking to integrate Spotify with a Siri shortcut to simply start a new day morning ritual. It would be more than great if you could also support Shortcuts on Mac OS, iOS and iPad OS.

Now that we have Siri integration, now we need Siri Shortcuts for our specifi playlists we use a lot.

I'm able to use Siri now to directly open my playlists, not sure we need
shortcuts for that anymore. I'm curious if we can use Siri to add the
currently playing songs to Liked tracks or to a playlist.

I'd like to auto-open a morning playlist. Also, would like to be able to open playlists that have emoticons in titles of which I have many and that can't be done with just Siri. Please add shortcuts support. Thanks

Siri shortcuts are a feature in Pandora... Spotify, the premier music stream service needs to stay ahead or in this case, keep up

Can we get an update on this? Clearly is not something Apple would block you from implementing.

My impression is that your Apple developer team is understaffed as it took many years to even release the Apple TV app.

Update: Spotify now supports Siri! I tried saying "Hey Siri, play <Song title> by <artist> on Spotify" and it actually worked! Just let Siri approve and you're good. That is a really handy feature especially if I have to use it while I am driving and Spotify finally listened! Just make sure you have the latest iOS and the latest Spotify version installed and you're good. Great job complaining people!

Any updates on this @Spotify? With the new Integration with Siri and the ‘Internet Of Things’ being more common place in homes, I would be surprised if Spotify is reluctant to add Siri Shortcuts support. 

I speak for many home automation enthusiasts that wish to play our favourite morning playlist as our lights turn on and blinds reel open, otherwise I can see a huge chunk moving to other providers.

@Jimbob98, not yet but I experimenting with an iOS app called Shortcutify which you can use to pull Spotify into Shortcuts. It's a bit of a workaround at the moment but it works for me.
