Not sure if this is a problem for anyone else but perhaps there's a song I liked a few years back and whether its because it was massively overplayed on the radio or just grew stale, it no longer brings me joy when it pops up while shuffling through my Liked Songs. I skip over it every single time, but don't want to go to the trouble of searching for and removing it from my Liked Songs and forget about it shortly after. I feel like the maximum amount of songs allowed in one playlist, and subsequently in "Songs" playlist under the new "Collections" feature, should be more than 10,000.   Quite frankly it should be unlimited.    We are paying for a service but limited on how many songs we are able to save? That is absurd to me.   I recently started saving all of my albums into "Collections" and got stuck at about 1/4 of the way through - 10,000 songs has been reached and I am no longer able to save any more albums.   PLEASE INCREASE MAX NUMBER OF SONGS IN COLLECTION FEATURE!!! I really appreciate Spotify's integration into Shazam, being able to shazam a song and immediately pull it up on Spotify to save. Lyrics are also accessible on shazam. However, if i find a new song I like on Spotify, and want to read the lyrics to know what words to sing (can't always make out the vocals) I have to leave Spotify, go find shazam, shazam it, then finally read the lyrics. I understand if youre not allowed to post your own lyrics pages, but make a shazam link to the shazam page of a song. That would make finding lyrics from your already superior service a breeze. Alright listen up, you are meeting someone for the first time or carpooling or you met a friend of a friend and how do you get to know them best? Through their music taste. In fact, you really want to be jamming out with them but you just don’t know what songs they like and you really don’t want that awkward silence when you know a song and they’re like.........uh......... This has been posted before but needs to gain more traction. You should be able to go from shuffling a playlist to playing an album in order without having to check whether shuffle is on. It's super frustrating accidentally not listening to an album in the order it was intended. Shuffle tends to stay on between sessions so it's easy to forget that you have it on. Spotify provides and option in its settings to "hide unplayable songs". Unfortunately, this does not work for explicit content when you have the explicit content filter turned on. The songs are unplayable, but they still show up as "grayed out" songs. I'd like it if they didn't show up at all. ... View more

Greetings Spotify Community,   I'm posting to raise votes for public service employee*  I beleive that anyone who provides a service to the public should be offerred rewards. We scarfice our time and pay for the greater good, and it would be greatly appreciated if we could receive a perk  for discounted music from Spotify.    We support, educate , and protect our communities. my idea is that when you right click on a track in your playlist, there is an option that says "move track to top" or "Move track to bottom" now i have to drag the track to the top myself and with over 800 tracks in my playlist it takes some time to do, because when you pre-save a track it comes to the top of your playlistand when you add a track by youself in comes to the bottom. It would be great if you could search for let's say George Gershwin and find Interpretations of his songs where he is listed only as composer. This would be great for people listening to jazz, because jazz standards are often written by musical-composers and then performed by all kind of jazz artists. I have a hisense smart TV and would love to be able to play my Spotify music on it, but the hisense portal doesn't have the app available. However, other music streaming services are available on it. Is there a possibility the app could made available on this TV? Sort options within Spotify are severely lacking.   First, what's lacking outright: sort by year, total plays, personal playcount, current popularity, genre, tempo, etc.   On top of that, sorting should be stackable, e.g. sort by album by year, or sort artist by total plays, etc.   This could apply to within the artists' pages as well, allowing us to sort through all their songs to better find music that suits our tastes.   Lastly, this could lend itself to the creation of smart playlists, e.g. a playlist that pulls songs from my collection (or from another playlist) that are within a certain genre and released in a particular year.   iTunes has had these features for many, many years - it's time that Spotify catch up! ... It would be great if you could select a deault listening device (making the other a default controller) when you are using your cellphone to listen and the desktop app to control the music.   This will prevent the conection getting lost each time you pause a song for a few minutes and being able to resume from your PC.   See image: ... Please implement bookmarks for audio books. ________________________ There was an idea for bookmarks in audio books. Hello there! I know this idea has been brought up before, but all those ideas were several years ago by now, and I couldn't find a recent discussion about this. Imagine having "rooms" within Spotify, where you can listen together, simultaneously , to the same track with everybody else in the room, no matter where in the world they are, and no matter what device they're using. You can step up and join the DJ queue, and all DJs in the room play one track, one after another. The friend feed on the right side turns into a chatbox, and you can communicate and talk about music while listening to the same tracks. Think tuntable.fm, plug.dj, jqbx.fm, ... but right inside Spotify! Check out this Medium article by Austin Condiff I found today, detailing this concept (following mockup taken from that article).  I've been hoping to have some social aspect like this within Spotify, and I think this would enrich the community even further. You could create rooms based on genres or moods, and enjoy music together with friends and strangers alike. I first started using Spotify in 2014. I still have and edit playlists from 2014. Now, due to massive dysphoria- I will either a) have to re-do years of playlists,  b) sit and deal with my dysphoria, or c) advocate for change.    I was 14 and thought I was female. Now I am 19 and male and my gender on Spotify is the same as it was when I was 14 even though that is not the case.  I linked my account through Facebook. I changed my name and my gender on Facebook. Spotify recognizes the name change only when I toggle the privacy settings.    If Spotify can acknowledge a name change- then it can and should acknowledge a gender change. We all know the feeling. "What kind of music do you listen to?" "Ummm... all sorts of stuff, kind of a mishmash of genres." What if Spotify could solve that problem for you? If Spotify had the ability to automatically analyze a playlist and tell you what the main genres were, you could know what genres you listen to. Here's an example: You have a playlist you like, and it has a lot of different songs in it. You click the playlist, and right below the title, it says "Rock, Pop, Country," informing you that the playlist's top genres are Rock, Pop, and Country.
