I play music off Spotify for my bubba to fall asleep to. This is typically classical/meditative relaxing style tracks. Since she sleeps 4 times a day this type of music is getting a LOT of playtime but is not representative of my music taste. I'm finding my Discover Weekly (which I LOVE by the way) is moving more away from my music and more towards the classical/chill out stuff I play for the little one.    Would be super cool to be able to mark a playlist to exclude it from the Discover algorithm.   Thanks! ... Sort options within Spotify are severely lacking.   First, what's lacking outright: sort by year, total plays, personal playcount, current popularity, genre, tempo, etc.   On top of that, sorting should be stackable, e.g. sort by album by year, or sort artist by total plays, etc.   This could apply to within the artists' pages as well, allowing us to sort through all their songs to better find music that suits our tastes.   Lastly, this could lend itself to the creation of smart playlists, e.g. a playlist that pulls songs from my collection (or from another playlist) that are within a certain genre and released in a particular year.   iTunes has had these features for many, many years - it's time that Spotify catch up! ... Hello there! I know this idea has been brought up before, but all those ideas were several years ago by now, and I couldn't find a recent discussion about this. Imagine having "rooms" within Spotify, where you can listen together, simultaneously , to the same track with everybody else in the room, no matter where in the world they are, and no matter what device they're using. You can step up and join the DJ queue, and all DJs in the room play one track, one after another. The friend feed on the right side turns into a chatbox, and you can communicate and talk about music while listening to the same tracks. Think tuntable.fm, plug.dj, jqbx.fm, ... but right inside Spotify! Check out this Medium article by Austin Condiff I found today, detailing this concept (following mockup taken from that article).  I've been hoping to have some social aspect like this within Spotify, and I think this would enrich the community even further. You could create rooms based on genres or moods, and enjoy music together with friends and strangers alike. Hi there,   I think many users get annoyed by those "local" recommendations that are based on the country that is chosen by their payment method. E.g. I'm living in Europe, where English language is not local language, and I'm getting recommendations for the local songs, which I don't like, and I'd prefer English music over that, is there any chance I could change my country of recommendations to US or Canada?    Thanks ... Please implement bookmarks for audio books. ________________________ There was an idea for bookmarks in audio books. This is a follow-up to this idea: New Releases Section for Followed Artists by @MattSuda.   While the original idea currently has over 1,300 votes, Spotify's answer was that the Release Radar playlist meets the need presented. I don't think this is true, and I have doubts that the +1,000 people who voted do, either.   So this new idea is an attempt to gauge the level of support for a true New Releases from Followed Artists section in spite of the existence of the new Release Radar playlist.   We want a feed that: Shows new releases ONLY from the artists we follow, and shows ALL new releases from the artists we follow Shows releases neatly in chronological order, with clear headings showing the full release date (day, month, and year) Neatly presents new releases in the form they were released (i.e., EP's and Albums are shown as such rather than as a list of all songs within them -- or make this a toggle option) Goes back in time as far as possible (preferably all time, to show all releases from our Followed Artists in chronological order) Clearly indicates which releases are new to us since our last visit Has a number badge on the button for the section that tells us if there are new releases since our last visit, and how many Not crucial but nice to have: Can be filtered by time frame, artist, release type (album, EP, single), country, genre, etc. ... Hello Community!   In Spotify there are some playlists with automatic crossfade. That means there's a smooth transition between songs. However, not everyone likes that, since the next song starts later (from minute 0:45, 0:26, 1:02...). That's why I thought it would be a good idea a to have the ability to switch it on and off depending on what the user prefers. Android applications seem to support some form of integration with the Android OS to identify as a music player.   Going to: Settings > Apps > *Gear Icon* > *Default Section* > Music app:   I'm able to select which application on my phone should be the default app for music, and the phone presents me with a list of choices: Google Play Music MX Player Pro ES File Explorer Pro IPTV Pro. As you can see, Spotify is not on the list. If those apps can make it to the list, so can Spotify. I've got Google Home and I've got Sonos. I'd like to be able to say, "Hey Google, play some Jazz music on my Sonos devices"   At the moment, I can get Google Home to play music on my tiny Google Home speaker. It was such a disappointment to lose playlists on Roku. I would like it restored. Now I got a new Roku and see that Spotify isn't even on it now. Such a  disappointment. With the reemergance of layered/3D/8D/headphones only audio videos on youtube, I would love to see an option like that become available for Spotify.
