Spotify App empties my iPhone battery

Listening for one hour empties my Battery for about 20%. and i'm just hearing the offline files. No streaming.

I dont seem to have that problem. I listen to spotify during school and it doesn't drain my battery.

trashcoder - Have you updated to the lastest version of iOS? Battery performance seems to be a little better with this iOS 5.1.

Yes, i've updated to the newest iOS version.

But i found a workaround for saving the battery: I set the Spotify App to "Offline-Mode" in the configuration.

Could it be, that the app send data to spotify even when i use the "offline available" option for the playlist? This could the reason why my battery getting empty so quickly.
