We are very early into the new year but thought we might as well start a thread for the best albums for 2016. I'm holding off with nominations until something really grabs my attention but feel free to post your recommendations here folks. Try and keep things to one recommendation per post. Cheers!

Starboy by The Weeknd for sure!

Without a doubt, the best album of 2016 was The Avalanches' Wildflower. They return from a long hiatus with what at times seems like something that samples 60s and 70s tracks but isn't and at times seems like someone from the 60s or 70s recorded tracks with a modern sound aesthetic. This is one that I'll remember for a long time, if only for all the future sample ID challenges.
