Hey folks, it's time to start a new thread for all the best indie music discoveries you make in 2016.

If you're wondering how we define indie around here, the answer is however you define indie. 

"Indie" can mean:

• Bands that are on independent labels
• Used to be on independent labels
• Sound like bands that are on indepedendent labels 
• The list goes on...

So we're asking you to submit your favorite Indie songs of 2016 by your own definition of indie.

I would add A Weird Exits (Album) from Thee Oh Sees, but since the album isn't on Spotify, I choose Parallax (Song) from the band Inky. 

Inky is a brazilian indie band, they debuted an album called Animania - it's awesome.

I don't know it's just because I'm Australian, but I feel like the Aussie Indie scene has been pumping out some amazing songs this year. If you're also from the land of VB, you would have heard of Sticky Fingers and maybe the Skegss and Hockey Dad. All three have released albums in 2016. Of course this comes down to personal preference but my favourite indie song that this year has to offer is My Face - Skegss.

Great song. Great band. Great year for Indie music.
