I heard this song ONCE on the radio (it's an older-ish song) and it was awesome, can someone help me find it???
-It was old-school rock/rap
-probably 1980s-1990s (unironic use of the word 'Funky' so I'm almost positive)
-I'm almost ENTIRELY sure the Beastie Boys were in it, I listened to every song of theirs and couldn't find it
-There's another rapper singing
-"The Funky Irma Dena" Was what I thought how the lyrics went in the chorus.
-"The Funky _____ _____" is a definite
-The syllables of that line were 1, 2, 2, 2
-The line following "The funky..." was a name (I think)
-Popular to breakdance to "back in the day" (according to my mom) So it's got a fast rhythm
-Both (All?) singers were male
Not these Songs:
"Brass Monkey" Beastie Boys
"Triple Trouble"- Beastie Boys (though the style is similar)
"Hold it Now, Hit it"- Beastie Boys
"No Sleep Till Brooklyn-Beastie Boys
"She's On It"- Beastie Boys
"Too Many Rappers- Beastie Boys
"You Gotta Fight (For Your Right to Party)"- Beastie Boys
Honestly, I went through so many songs and albums and so many web searches and NOTHING, it's killing me, any 80s-90s enthusiasts know what song I'm talking about? I'd really appreciate it! thanks!
