Did Pachelbel (1644-1737) get royalties?

When Pachelbel wrote, around 1700, what we call commonly Pachelbel's Canon, maybe it would had been happy to know that he passed close to a real fortune :D

I was thinking about that when I listened yesterday to the new singe of the English/Canadian indie pop duo Cat's Eyes : "Chameleon Queen"

That quickly reminded me the 60's and how, at this time slow dance was inspiring for relationship :D

Even Hippies, Flowers in hair, large pants, Pot... used it :)

And when Disco came, what happened ?

The list could be longer but I will stop it here.. it's up to you to continue it :)

Always feeling fascinated by this composition and thus would listen to all kinds of its rendition but didn't know that it had been used for the songs above, especially for "Let It Be Me". Thank you for sharing and I would like to add this one from 2004.

@rossi1911

I'm sorry, but I don't see what the 3 songs you have posted have to do with the subject of the topic ? :)
