anything by the composer Bear McCreary . not sure if anyone has included his work yet. He does many soundtracks for tv including Battlestar Galactica, Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicals, The Walking Dead, Outlander, and others. he also has done many many movies. he has a kind of celtic sound to much of his work. it is all quite beautiful and the amount he does is quite insane.

other soundtracks that are pretty great are 

Armageddon (some good tunes and the instrumental theme song is good too)

Titanic (the instrumental soundtrack is wonderful, and we lost james horner too soon. 

Lord of the Rings trilogy has some pretty good music 

John Murphy has done some great soundtracks including for the motion pictures Sunshine, and 28 days later directed by danny boyle.

my favourite musical movie is Across The Universe (pretty rockin beatles covers)

uhh sometimes i like Yanni but please dont tell anyone. 

unfortunately i do not play alot of video games so the only soundtrack that i think is great is super mario brothers 3.
