Ever listen to an artist or album, and think "not for me," then go back weeks or years later, and think "Wow, what was I thinking, this is AWESOME!"
Moods are so pervasive and can ulitmately affect what you like at any given moment. Maybe you just weren't in the right mood when you initially played the album. Or when years have gone between listening, maybe you have matured and learned to appreciate something in a brand new way.
My first example is Deerhunter. Didn't like them at first, but they have been showing up on my Discover Weekly, and I decided to give them a chance. Now I think they are great.
Post something you changed your mind about!

haha yes me too
for me "diamonds" by rihanna was the worst song in the world and whenever i heard it on the radio I immediately changed the radio station. Two years later I heard it at a party and actually liked it.
When i first heard everyone playing this song i was a little confused why. I then gave it a listen and still wasn't really into it. A week later i could not get it out of my head haha i have not stopped listening to it since. This is my go to song when im feeling down! My heart is homelessssssssssssss!
@Helenon good answer! i feel as though time and exposure can cure that hatred
The first time I listened to Cool Kids in 2013, I hated it and thought it was a song for edgy kids.
Well now I've been playing this song all day 😞

Every single Taylor Swift song.... hahaha but seriously 🙂
Did anybody notice that music plays louder here than on the actual app
Yes is louder in the browser!!!
One of the bandmembers of my favorite band left because of "creative differences" to focus on her own solo career. I was skeptical and didn't like it at first because it was so.. different from what I expected.
Once I opened up a little, let go of my prejudice and listened to it some more it really grew on me, now I like and appreciate the quirky and energic album for what it is.

Hooray for all the Future Islands love on this thread! I've been listening to them heaps overseas and they've really grown on me. Seeing them in December and I'm super pumped!
I think Art Angels by Grimes sort of fits into this category because the first time you listen to it you're overwhelmed by so many amazing arty pop songs that it takes at least 5 or so listens to really separate them and find your favourites. Everyone seems to like a different track most - they're all so good. It's just hit after hit!

Elbow and The National. Both bands are similar in the way they both have a laid back approach to songs and in the case of Elbow it wasn't until the second album that it clicked. In the case of The National the vocals drew me in but it wasn't until The Boxer that it clicked.
Ill have to check those bands out I followed you can you follow me as well if you dont mind? https://open.spotify.com/artist/7F1CYrJU8T5YvmqosFhvqP
I hated American Candy by The Maine first time I heard it. Came back to it a few mouths later and found out it was awesome! I would definitely recommend that album to my friends.

This song definitely grew on me from the amazing lady voice, rap verse from the guy and a sick guitar solo!
First time I listened to this song, I didn't really like it. Now I've been playing this like all day long.
