I want to hear music from your suburb, town, city or country. Tell us about thriving scenes that we ought to know about. This could be great!
I could talk about Melbourne music forever but here's a classic from 2014. Basically a modern Melbourne rock anthem.

Fellow Melburnian here. The band in this playlist may have been TOO famous for anyone to know who they were. Well.. that is, if you lived in Kew or Camberwell as a teenager between 1999 and 2004 you might have heard of them. Melbourne for life!

Some of the music being made throughout Australia just now
https://open.spotify.com/track/596aSuKYTYMcSCETAeVMRW?si=ZrVyodYAQnactOZnuE_fkw The album art for "Sugar Pills" was taken on the rooftops of New York City, more specifically on top of my work on West 46th St. I work there with my dad in the summer, I wrote the lyrics for "Sugar Pills" on my lunch breaks. The pop music coming out of Manhattan is very polished and fake. I thought I would take that idea and turn the song darker and explosive in the chorus and soft and polished in the verses. Sugar Pills is a play on the "Placebo Effect" which is ironic because I feel like very where I go in the city someone is popping a pill or taking some sort of drug. This song would be part of the "Underground Scene" in Manhattan.

I grew up in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania

For being a small town it has had some really successful musicians. The band Poison (3,204,775) went to Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg, PA. It is literally across the street from my mom's house. CV has had plenty of famous athletes too but that's for another forum.

The band Fuel (1,370,884) is from Mechanicsburg, PA. My brother used to listen to them jam in the Mechanicsburg Underground sound (Most would classify Harrisburg PA as the "city" closest to Mechanicsburg where musicians would play in the more popular night life scene but with a grand population of like 49,000 people, the capital of Pennsylvania is one of the smallest capitals in the USA.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mechanicsburg, PA is a suburb of Harrisburg, PA the capital... The next artists are from the Harrisburg area.

You think 90,000 is small??
PA's capital has 49,000 people living there.
Hi, I am from Brazil. There is a really good indie band called The Zasters over there, they have just released some new songs! Here I will drop their latest single, "Loose Lips".

Cool thread, @JordanOakley!
I currently live in the eastern United States, where the states are closer together than they are on the West Coast, where I grew up. There are several stoner rock (my current favorite genre) bands that I like from neighboring states to the one that I currently live in (Pennsylvania), such as King Buffalo (from Rochester, New York), Eternal Black (from Brooklyn, New York), Clouds Taste Satanic (also from Brooklyn, New York), Geezer (from Kingston, New York), Yatra (from Ocean City, Maryland), Doctor Smoke (from Mingo Junction, Ohio), and Monster Magnet (from Red Bank, New Jersey). Here are my current favorite songs by these (relatively) local stoner rock bands:

I'm from Brooklyn New York City. I am really loving this soulful song by Esther Triggs. I can't stop listening to it. Its that American classic sound thats a perfect backdrop of whats happening in the world. We need more music that captures the hurt, pain and love of whats happening in our everyday life.

I am from Slovakia.
We have a good Pop and folk scene, althought not everything from our folklore is on Spotify. Ofcourse, there are various artists from Slovakia, so let's post something from My country.
It'll be new song from Sima Martausová. She is famous singer/songwriter in Slovakia.

We live on the island of Gran Canaria, a magical place. It’s one of the 7 Canary Islands - this song sums up quite well the magic and beauties of this wonderful place. At the end of the song all the villages of the island are mentioned by the singer and the children choir of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria 🏝❤️🎶

There’s even an original music video on YouTube. The song was composed to help the island and its inhabitants during this crisis, since the island lives on tourism.
Hope you like it and makes you dream of travelling again.
