Thanks for posting this cool topic. 

One goth metal playlist I love listening to is the Spotify made This is Lacuna Coil playlist, including all essential tracks by the band. Lacuna Coil is an Italian gothic metal band formed in 1994. Their sound is relatively soft and sad, and the alternating female/male vocals are a typical technique for their work.

Another example I recommend is This is The Birthday Massacre. The band is proud of their broad discography and since their sound changes throughout time, there's a lot to explore when listening to their albums.
