Admittedly all of these artists are those who have released albums I absolutely adore this year:

- Dua Lipa (pop)

- Tami Neilson (independent country)

- Tracy McNeil and The Good Life (pop/rock, country)

- Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit (alt country)

- RVG (indie/alternative)

- Spanish Love Songs (emo, pop punk)

- Caitlin Cannon (alt country/rockabilly)

- Rina Sawayama (she's a bit hard to describe as her album has four or five different genres in one)

- Ashley McBryde (country)

- Niall Horan (pop)

- The Weeknd (r'n'b/pop)

Thanks for sharing, @crowdiegal; it's always wonderful when artists release cool, new albums!

My last.fm top list for 2020 is topped by Amon Tobin, just like in previous years... : )

However, I've given a proper listen and fallen in love with quite a few artists:

Halogenix - I decided to listen to him for the purpose of getting another artist above 100 scrobbles. Things happened and he's now near 200 listens instead.
His music could be described as liquid funk; I really love this track of his:

There's also a halftime vip of this track with a different atmosphere, but for reasons I love this one quite a bit more. Liquid love (those chords, those vocals!) : )

Thys - he released his full-length album last year, but I gave it a proper listen this year. Absolutely stunning!

SpectraSoul - exploded in my listening stats! I had known them already last year, but when I discovered Untitled Horn in Amon's set and looked the track up...
Untitled Horn is sublime, The Mantra is insane, Say What makes me want to s p e e d, lots of other tracks from them I really love.
the Horn is the most scrobbled track of 2020 so far, and it deserves the position. I live this track 💗

Icicle - another liquid funk specialist which went up the same way as Halogenix.
I love this track; the faint sirens in the background tripped me out quite a lot during quarantine, especially since I was quite early into that period when I found this:

Zomby - mainly the album called 'Where Were You In '92?'
I am really attracted to the following track, for the feelings it evokes - I want to feel the track, dive in its dark atmosphere and at the same time the man speaking sample makes me feel so.. endangered :'D And the same goes for the wavy bass, it pleases me so much and simultaneously makes all the hairs on my arms stand as if there's an imminent storm coming.
The whole album is awesome and worth a listen!

Technical Itch - what can you say, I love liquid d&b 😄
This artist also had the same fate as Halogenix and Icicle. Tech Itch has a bit more technical sort of sound and also differs from album to album, but I found that Progression Threat ones have a really sweet atmopshere!
This track has both the rather dangerous-feeling fast breaks and that hitting synth chords as well as beautiful stringy interludes with piano notes (and it's also 7 mins long):

(I also love Code Weave so much, it's from the same release)

Violinbwoy - I was introduced to this artist when someone in the last.fm discord recommended me this. So I went and listened. It's basically a well-crafted dubstep'ish beats with violin and a hint of hiphop. Really sweet sounds, love them:

Nostalghia - found out about her from the same community as Violinbwoy, someone added her to a flash or a weekly... But I got hoooked!
The rawness that is very much brought out by her accent, together with the beautiful sound.
This track (but really the entire album, listen to it!) feels so godlike, yet so primal. Raw raw feelings.

Sofie Letitre - I found out Thys had made a remix of 'Home' on her album called Uncanny Valley. Also gave a listen to the rest of the release just recently and man it's beautiful!
Gentle, yet powerful on both vocal and the sound:

And on I go : )

BEST UPCOMING GREEK ROCK BAND !!!
Show some love ❤️
#heavyrock #metal #greek

Great artists, @Sebasty; thanks for sharing!

@stavri, thanks for introducing me to Void Droid, they sound really good, and I added a track of theirs to my stoner rock playlist. It seems like Greece is a great place for stoner rock music, with other great bands in this genre from there as well such as 1000mods, Tuber, Nightstalker, Puta Volcano, and Naxatras!

I'm glad for that. Which track did you add?

I added "Chameleon White" from Void Droid's Terrestrial album; it's my favorite track of theirs that I've listened to so far 😀
