Hi @CJMusic!

By tagging, do you mean here in the community posts, or on the tracks in Spotify?

You can put in your own tags here in the posts in "Message tags", if that is what you wanted to do.

Tagging of the Spotify tracks themselves are done by the publishers or their agents.
If you notice any content errors, you can report them using
this form and the information will be passed on by Spotify.

Hope this was helpful 🙂

I am trying this right now.

I have seen another (much complicated) description that doesn't work.

Nevertheless, when I clicke on the Spotify address, it says -for instance-

https://play.spotify.com/album/03Qh833fEdVT30Pfs93ea6

and your example would be

spotify:album:03Qh833fEdVT30Pfs93ea6

so I have to edit by hand.

Let's see:

spotify:album:03Qh833fEdVT30Pfs93ea6

No. The miniplayer is not showing. Only the funny link 😞

Which is not a real link since it leads nowhere.

What is the difference between URL and URI ?

Another silly question: since this is a fundamental feature here in this forum, much more important than font colors, why not implementing this feature with a single icon? Just saying

WAW, the signature feature worked. kudos, kudos!

Hello:

It would seem there is a slight issue with the URI links like this one: spotify:album:03Qh833fEdVT30Pfs93ea6 when posting them on the community. The code on the community does not seem to render the miniplayer correctly.

To get the miniplayer to show correctly try this way. Copy and paste the embed code that is in red type into a new post: <iframe src="https://embed.spotify.com/?uri=spotify%3Aalbum%3A03Qh833fEdVT30Pfs93ea6" width="300" height="380" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true"></iframe>

make sure you are on the HTML tab of the posting options when copying and pasting that embed code above. You can also use the Preview tab in the posting options, before you make the post to see if everything looks right and then make your post that way.

If you wish to do music postings this way. Use the Spotify desktop app, when you right click on either single tracks, albums, or playlist links there should be an embed link option there in the right click context menu to use, which reads Copy Embed Code. Use the embed code, and when making posts make sure to copy and past that code into the HTML tab of all posts, and the miniplayer should show now.

@JayLB
thank you, Jay; I will certainly try, but I notice that is much more complicated than it should and could be... You have to be an semi-expert in html, which I am not and do not want to become.

Hello:

Not really, just copy and paste the embed HTML code into the HTML posting tab like this:

The embed codes can be found on all content in the Spotify service in the right click context menu of the Spotify desktop apps, it is usually the last linking option.

So the embed codes are NOT in the web browsr version, right?

Hi @Brigida!

The web browser version of Spotify only gives you the Spotify URL code, which is in the format (without the #):

#   https://play.spotify.com/...

a bit more tricky to use, but just paste in this, replacing the URL code in to it:

#   <iframe src="https://embed.spotify.com/?uri=spotify%3Aalbum%3A03Qh833fEdVT30Pfs93ea6" width="300" height="380" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true"></iframe>

..and you'll be right on track!

Hi Eiler, so basically you are using the Spotify Widget!

https://developer.spotify.com/technologies/widgets/spotify-play-button/

That makes things easier...

(I assume there is no human way of integrating it directly as an icon here - a problem with Lithium?)

I try with a playlist

<iframe src="https://embed.spotify.com/?uri=spotify:user:1143970316:playlist:3zAMgKznIepNsHdhuLjfi1" width="300" height="380" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true"></iframe>

... it doesn't work.

Now I try with an album

<iframe src="https://embed.spotify.com/?uri=spotify:album:6uGYCZLXw3wPFOSYcqLz9F" width="300" height="380" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true"></iframe>

<iframe src="https://embed.spotify.com/?uri=spotify:album:6uGYCZLXw3wPFOSYcqLz9F" width="300" height="380" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true"></iframe>

Doesn't work as well.

Als method to obtain new customers is great. As for me, I am getting tired of playing these games.
