Silver Coast

"Showing real promise so far in their brief career, Inverness band Silver Coast play emotive, atmospheric rock, with chiming guitars and soaring vocals that could one day fill stadia" - Vic Galloway

Silver Coast are a Scottish band Alt/Rock band; Fromm Inverness / Edinburgh

Aaron Murray - Vocals, Guitars, Keys
Andrew Thomas - Guitars, Backing Vocals
Michael Cappie - Drums & Percussion
Jason Simpson – Bass

Silver Coast formed in late 2012 and started gigging around their home city of Inverness from May 2013. Silver Coast quickly caught the imagination of local audiences.

They played a series of gigs at Ironworks, Inverness through the year including support slots for Fatherson and King Charles.

Having succeeded in amassing a substantial local following the band have set their sights on the rest of Scotland with a relentless desire to get noticed outside of their hometown.

The band’s first release of 2014 was the single ‘Believe’ on Monday March 3rd which is available for free download which will be supported by a series of live dates across Scotland.

Reviews of Believe

"Aaron Murray's echo-infused voice and pounding backline, Believe harks back to the glory days of Big Country"

Rick Fulton (Daily Record)

"It's a thumping foot-stomper that's guaranteed to get you moving, with a big hooky chorus to sing along with at the top of your voice."

Reviewer (Highland News)

"Silver Coast have come up with their first 'anthemic' sounding track. Big guitars and soaring vocal will make this an instant hit with their followers and garner them a new crop of fans as it picks up the inevitable radio play throughout Scotland."

Mark Lindley (Blogger / DJ, Ralph's Life)

"“Believe” is a passionate number from the Silver Coast boys that combines the sound we’ve grown to love from them, with a more mature edge. Taking notable influences from Feeder, they have crafted a catchy rock song, that left me wanting to hear more."

Danielle Wilson (Blogger, Where's Your Passion)
The band quote influences including Feeder. You Me at Six and Twin Atlantic were formed in 2012 and built a strong following in their home town of Inverness which saw them support Fatherson, King Charles and lostAlone. The inevitable festival slots have followed including Belladrum and industry showcase goNORTH whilst gigging has seen them play throughout Scotland as their momentum grows.

2014 saw the band release debut ‘Believe’, recorded at the renowned Cava studios, for which they received support from the likes of BBC Radio’s Tom Morton and Daily Record’s Rick Fulton.

The new year has kicked off with a bang for the boys with the release of second single “Hold On”. The digital release was supported by their first video which was directed and produced by Steve Cardno. The single has gained support from new music trendsetters including Jim Gellatly and Vic Galloway, with the latter including the track in his recent BBC introducing podcast as well as his BBC show.

Silver Coast have also recorded a session for BBC Radio nan Gàidheal as well as being identified as one of the must listen to songs for Glastonbury Festival Emerging Talent Competition by judge Mark Muldoon

The band return to the studio in Spring with their first EP being planned for release in September 2015. In the mean time they continue to impress with their live shows and have a series of festival performances planned.

Hannah Rose Platt is an up and coming UK Americana artist, this song is both seductive and haunting

I love Tom "The Suit" Forst-- He's a bluesy rock musician who takes a modern day spin on classic rock.

Check out this playlist with this up and coming artist mixed with classic rock hits.

I feel that NoahStradamus is very under rated. His music is to par if not surpasses some of the music we hear today on the radio. I would love to see him blow up and do a music festival. Check him out and let me know if you feel any different

Lately been having a love affair with the British indie rock scene. Bands like The Pale White and The Amazons are rocking my world right now.

Am also loving Aussie singer songwriter Amy Shark.

i usually don't listen to just straight up acoustic music, usually there has to be

something about it that is really obscure. this guy sounds really honest with his

words though, give him a try. his album came out a monthish ago.
