As stated, the definition of unkown is a little vague.  

Would also be good if posters would add some info on the genre of what they are posting.

My fave 'unknown' is Angel Snow. Originally wrote tracks for other artists, e.g. Alison Krause. 

First album is 'Angel Snow' (2012), and just released a second album : Magnetic.

Genre = ballads (not folk, not pop, somewhere inbetween. Call it singer/songwriter).

Le$ and 2Ru3, Le$ I say is only unknown as far as the real big popular sites and people that mainly get their music from there, but he's definitely got 1,000s of fans and has been with people like Slim Thug, Curren$y and now he's got his own independent label situation going on.

But 2Ru3 (true) can be legitly considered unknown, he has his own indepedent label situation and you can even google his name and find him easily, but he doesn't have the 1,000s of fans and real solid support like Le$ and other artist farther ahead have.
