Curious, what are the top 5 genres you're listening to? It would be very helpful if you shared a playlist that exemplified your answer.

I love way too many genres, but I'd be happy to pick out a few!
This one's kind-of obscure, or vague. But it's basically music that has a tinge of Indie and Electronic. I call it indielectronica and here's one of my favorite playlists for it:

Electro-swing is awesome, and so strange, which is why I love it.

I have a lot of playlists for lo-fi-like music, some jazzy and others cold. Rigor was my third spotify playlist I believe:

I could dish out more genres... Future funk and new beat. But if you want a taste of what I'm personally listening to, you're welcome to check out My kind of music!

How about you? I'm always searching for new sounds

Thanks for sharing, I'm listening to and enjoying your playlist Rigor now. Genres confuse me because there seems to be a lot of interlap between them. The playlist LoopooL is a good example of what I've been listening to recently.

Here’s my most recent tag timeline from Last.fm. The top genre for me for the last month or so is “stoner rock,” followed by “psychedelic rock”. The third most listened-to genre for me is usually “psychedelic,” and the fourth and fifth vary. Some common fourth and fifth most listened-to genres include “rock,” "jam," “doom metal,” "stoner metal," “space rock,” and "jazz."

Here are my playlists for some of these genres that show up in my tag timeline often:

Like Trey I also have last.fm account and the most prominent tag is "Electronic".

But to discuss what exactly I listen to, then it's a mixture of things, because I don't seem to have a specific genre I enjoy the most. Sure, drumn&bass, liquid funk and triphop are great, but I've found beautiful things from various places.

I like wicked beats as much as I love sound design and experimental music as much as I love ambient. 🙂

Here is a sample playlist of songs I love listening to a lot:

Hey!

Good question! And a bit difficult to answer, cause like you said: genres often overlap. But I think one of the genres I've listen to the most lately are Garage Rock/Punk and Noise. I also listen to a lot of bands within the alternative and indie genres (speaking of overlaping genres!) and I also enjoy some post-rock/instrumental/fuison type of music. So here's three playlists 😉

Currently I'm listening to Rock to southern rock and blues.

I don't do playlists based on genre (I like a variety of genres in my playlists) so I don't really have a playlist to explain my tastes in music. I do love pop, rock, indie, country and r'n'b.
