With 20,433 scrobbles (217,378 total) and 3,211 different artists listened (39,333 total), 2020 19 was a very interesting year in music. Even though my first scrobble from him was way back in 2009, this year I had three of his songs in my top played songs of the year. Yikes.
Just like in 2019 here’s a review of the music I listened to through 2020.
Here are my must "loved" tracks of the year in chronological order:

Song of the Year
This is our time, we devour the days ahead
We've been possessed by these changing times
As we slip on through, we promised to meet again somewhere
The song of the year crown belongs to this brilliant album closer by the Deftones. From the opening guitar, the following riff, and the brutal pounding of the drums, it's a song that invites us to look back, accept our decisions, and move on. Great stuff.

2020 could be considered the year of Dua Lipa, and Break My Heart is the perfect example why. Debuting in April, its Dance Pop grooves stayed in the radar all year long.
I would've stayed at home
'Cause I was doing better alone
But when you said, "Hello"
I knew that was the end of it all

The ultimate Alternative crossover came from 24kGoldn, thanks to its Indie influenced guitar, which made it easy to listen, despite its Emo roots.
We play games of love to avoid the depression
We been here before and I won't be your victim

What else can be said about Blinding Lights? Since it release in late 2019, it marked an 80s revival sound that many other artists followed.
I said, ooh, I'm blinded by the lights
No, I can't sleep until I feel your touch
I said, ooh, I'm drowning in the night
Oh, when I'm like this, you're the one I trust

As for the Country song of the year, Gabby Barrett’s I Hope was the clear winner, so much it crossed over as a Remix with Charlie Puth.
I hope she makes you smile
The way you made me smile on the other end of a phone
In the middle of a highway driving alone

And the most annoying song award of the year goes to Savage Love. Even if it's a cool song to listen once or twice, it gets really old, really fast.
Baby, I hope this ain't karma 'cause I get around
You wanna run it up, I wanna lock it down
Usually don't be fallin', be fallin', fallin' fast
You got a way of makin' me spend up all my cash
