This is a cool topic. I have a playlist full of covers. I love when bands take their own spin on songs from other bands and tribute/honor the original songs. 

There are so many good covers. I have to say I really like Deftone's cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd's Simple Man. The vocals add a special Deftones feel I love.

Spider Bait's cover/take on the song Black Betty is also just unique, upbeat, and cool.

Lastly, (I'm sorry I couldnt choose just one) I like Machine Head's version of Hallowed Be Thy Name (Iron Maiden). Both bands are amazing to me and the energy and take on this song is cool.
