[Game] Matching Words in Song/Artist/Album Titles

Hi all, I thought I’d start another game in Music Chat for fun. Here’s how I propose it goes:

Post a song that matches any word in the name of the song, artist, or album title of the previously posted song. The matching word can be in the song title, artist name, or album title of the song that you post.

For example, if the most recently posted song is:

https://open.spotify.com/track/0r9ZSCNXKinpOBUl943m3l?si=0z6usdmBSsyyXh02TDxx0w

and the next person wants to match the word “mountain” from the song title, they could post a song with “mountain” in the song title:

https://open.spotify.com/track/4njKQ7DZShCQFRy9hLc3zP?si=TxDV7QUTQ5m9csCEfPngOw

or they could post a song with “mountain” in the artist name:

https://open.spotify.com/track/2qpUakxMrcKT5ZpNfF1H2P?si=Dp9ThBdxQhCUMKd6woTotQ

or they could post a song with “mountain” in the album title:

https://open.spotify.com/track/6nzG1bidtRDcTwHDghVfLe?si=7vz_vo6bSfCB1V2Dea_MGw

They could also choose to match the word “fire,” “grateful,” “dead,” “live” etc. with the song that they post.

The first person to reply to this thread may post any song to start. Of course, the matching word may change over time as new songs are posted. Make sure your song's name, its artist's name, or its album's name matches a word from the most recently posted song's name, its artist's name, or its album's name. I hope you like this game!

Hey, Trey

Do the rules of "Post a song that matches any word in the name of the songartist, or album title of the previously posted song. The matching word can be in the song titleartist name, or album title of the song that you post." apply to all of what others post (or just what the 1st person posts), or is it like this, "Make sure your song matches a word of the most recently posted song.", from now on?

If so, I'm not sure how to continue, unless maybe someone else can answer (post a song that works) next.

Hi MadmanOnWheels,

You can post any song whose name, artist name, or album name matches a word of the song name, artist name, or album name from the previously posted song (which in this case is Spotywakeup’s posted track).

In this case, you can post any song whose name, artist name, or album name matches any of these words: “mobil” “ave” “mountain” “like” “eyes” “closed” “to” “the” or “sun”.

I had meant to reiterate the rules at the end of my original post, but I can see how you may be confused if you read that sentence literally, since it sounds like players can only match words from one song name to the next song name. Thank you for pointing this out! I will edit the game rules at the end of my original post to make it clearer.

I've already mapped out a song route from the 1st song artist to this song title and how it could go for a couple song titles. I wish someone was thinking the same as me. I'm curious how it will go.

I drank too much coffee to figure out what exactly the discussion was about, but the game is nice. :')

Hey, Sebasty

That band is in Austin, from what I understand. Someone told me about them, and I had listened to them, a little bit.

I know this still has "Queen" in the Title, but there's definitely still possibilities, using the band name, or words song ("Remastered" doesn't count). I couldn't find it, without it.

"Death Don't Always Taste Good" - Ivy Lab

(There was a Coil track with an awesome name, but that's not on Spotify unfortunately. Anyway, plenty of words to choose from here) :')

For this track, I'm using "Death" in the name of the previous track to connect with the same word that's in this song's album title. Somehow, I came across this song, even though I don't listen to this band. I like the mood, though.

I believe that I'm doing it correctly. If not, let me know, and I'll fix it.

I'm using the cover version, because Trey mentioned that he'd be interested in hearing it.

This song matches to a word in the album title. Those guys have a good sound. I had a few good songs to pick from, but this is one that a lot of people may not have had the chance to hear.
