Original vs. Damaged Remasters

It took me a while to realize that the "ice pick audio" on some tracks was because they were remastered and brick walled to death.  A great deal of them are unlistenable.  I wish Spotify would provide an easier way to locate the original masters.  Spotify unjustly is getting the reputation in the marketplace as having bad audio (especially for lossless) because of this.
