Playlist curator getting royalties

Hallo!

I was placed on some big electronic music playlist on Spotify (not official Spotify playlist), but the curator said I am getting 35% of the royalties, that my song earns on playlist.

How is it possible? Spotify pays artists, not curators, right?

AfterI asked, the answer was that they are getting paid for having the playlist. From Spotify? Don't think it is possible, or is it?

If I own the song 100%, then how is it possible for playlist curator collect the royalties I earn from his playlist?

Hello, Musicman008

I just came across this information. I remembered seeing your post, a night or two ago, so found you, again to see if this helps you.

-Once your playlist has over 400 followers you can sign up to become a curator on Playlist Push and start making money from your playlists. You can also easily track your playlist activity and manage your playlist.

This is toward the bottom of this article.

If this helps you, please do whatever it is that people do to make it show as a solution. I'd appreciate it.

The only way the curator has any control of your royalty distribution is if you (or anyone that manages/has access to any of your royalty collection sources) have given him access to your account in your distributor's website, or your account in any of the sites that distribute your royalties. If the only connection with him is that he is playlisting your music then he shouldn't have access to any of this and you should be getting whatever percentage you agreed with your distributor, publishing administration, and everywhere else that you collect royalties. Feel free to check out my song and give it a like please!
