I came across your post and decided to jump in and share a track. Your question reminded me of a house album from 2001 produced by the Bulgarian DJ Kikk. The album is called Jumbo and was a great hit in clubs back in the days. You can find several tracks with saxophone layers within, but my favorite one is called Misuc Is The Wayx:
