Hey Spotify Community,

2020 has hit and I’m looking forward to 2020 and discovering some new music and podcasts! So far 2020 has arrived and I’m listening to Tusa by Karol G and Nicki Minaj!

This is a song that came up in my Spotify Discover weekly last week and I’ve got on repeat, I think that it gives a lot of energy and has been getting me through my work load!

This week I also found a podcast which I've been listening to about an YouTuber I'm a fan of Ben Morris presented by Oliver Anwar, over on The Grow Prodcast and explaining how he got places in his life, travel and also overcoming creative blocks which I need right now!

I sank into SpectraSoul's music, so I have some of their tracks in my playlist and a few albums in my local library. :')

SpectraSoul is d&b with some exceptionally sweet sounds, deep, beautiful and yet danceable. These are the tracks that got me down:

Untitled Horn being the darker one with some really well-made percussion, and The Mantra being ridiculously upbeat with vocals that are just amazing.

There's also this track by Kill The Noise and Mija. It has the 4 on the floor beat, but also considerable amount of depth and darkness. The vocals are pretty on this one:

I'm really fond of this soft jazzy tune by Basic. It's beautiful and a must for anyone loving triphop and soft jazzy breaks!

Hi @EthanS1 and everyone else too, this is a pretty active new music year so far in my Monthly Playlist Fresh Singles January 2020  I'm already over 200 new tracks all released this month. 

Also in my Playlist Less Than 1,000 Followers  already added almost 50 new tracks/bands so if you feel like wanna listen something new by an artists/bands less known you can dig in here. 

And another Playlist that I really enjoy courating is 12 New Songs This Week  that is IMHO some of the best releases during the week, changing every Monday to Wednesday.

Glancing at other posts in this thread makes me feel like a miser!. I have a playlist started for this year that only has 38 songs on it. There's a few artist double ups in there as I couldn't decide which song I liked better!

Loving "Blinding Lights" by The Weeknd, "Lost in Yesterday" by Tame Impala, "Physical" by Dua Lipa and "No Shame" by 5 Seconds of Summer.

I don't know if you mean only songs that came out in 2020, or also ones that we discovered, as well as ones that we just added to a playlist, this year, but I'll share some.

I made this playlist to represent this year, starting with two that came out in 2020.

This year has been bad for a lot of people, including me. On the first one, I discovered the last song, a couple or a few months ago. On the second one, I discovered some songs that I never knew Eddie Van Halen played on, because I hadn't heard that about them (the Sammy Hagar songs), or I never knew about them (the last two). I knew that he played on "Best It", and that Ton Loc used a Van Halen song in "Wild Thing", though.
