Which aspects of music do you often appreciate?

Everyone has their own unique music preferences, so for any aspect of music, different people are bound to possess varying degrees of appreciation for it. For this reason, I thought it would be fun to start a thread where we share about some of the musical elements that are commonplace among our favorite songs.

To start, here are some aspects of songs that I’d say I often enjoy hearing, since they occur quite frequently among the tracks I’ve saved to my Spotify library:

• Instrumental music (as opposed to songs featuring vocals or samples from movies, astronaut communications, etc.)
• Electric guitar melodies
• Electric guitar or bass effects (such as distortion, fuzz, wah-wah, flanger, delay, reverb, etc.)

I’m sure that there are other recurring musical elements among my favorite tracks to listen to; these are just a few obvious ones that came to mind.
