Your favourite Original Soundtracks

Hey!

A topic for discussing original soundtracks (be it games or movies or whatever) and introducing your favourites.

I was driven to create a thread for this just because I can't seem to get enough of Shalimar. : )

What soundtrack blew your mind the most, or maybe you remember a scene/moment with a superb fitting soundtrack?

My favourite soundtracks are multiple and various. If I had to give it an order, I would say :

1. Every Soundtrack from Tarantino's movies  :

2. Most of Soundtracks by Ennio Morricone :

@Soundofus

This post was like reading an Amon Tobin interview. 😄

I bought Once Upon a Time in Hollywood yesterday tho, yet to watch it, but I'm excited!

Hi everyone,

I fell in love with an OST for the first time when I was in 8th grade. It was for the 2001 remake of Planet of the Apes by Tim Burton. What made me love this OST was mainly the classical strings, the powerful epic development and a bit dark and scary atmosphere. The composer is Danny Elfman who doesn't need an introduction.

Another one I find worth mentioning is the Batman Returns OST from 1992, again by Danny Elfman. My favorite character partly due to the accompanying music is Catwoman performed by Michelle Pfeiffer and especially her impressive transformation.

Cheers!

The soundtrack for Fellini's 8 1/2 is phenomenal:

The standout track, in my opinion, is its unique rendition of Fox-Trot Delle Gigolletes from La Danza Delle Libellule:

The dance scene that accompanies the track is a lot of fun--you can tell that Tarantino borrowed from it when choreographing the dance scene from Pulp Fiction.

Another cool track from the film (which unfortunately doesn't appear on the linked album) is a rendition of Oskar Joost's Bianca, which plays during the Saraghina rumba scene:

I have a playlist for that but it only has songs with no lyrics or whatsoever. You can take a look 🙂

Here's some of my favorite movie soundtracks. Enjoy😁
