I saw your post a few days ago already, had no time to analyse.. but now I have returned. 🙂

I listened to the Flying Lotus track you gave as an example and I do have something with similarly crunchy/welding bass:

Other songs off that particular album also have rather explosive bass qualities (such as the first track).

Maybe you'll like this track too:

It is a bit more simple one with low prominent bass and a great beat.

Here's another, further away from what you suggested, but it has an own kind of crunchiness in beat and bass.
