You know what it's like. You find something new and can't stop playing it.
What's your current "can't stop playing" track? All genres and minority tastes welcome, as is old music you might have just discovered.
Currently, I have this on a loop.
NOTE: It's instrumental, so no explicit lyrics despite the title
Tuber are a band from Greece which is a refreshing change in itself, with currently just over 1,000 monthly listeners. I am now a fan.
As for genre, it's not easy to pinpoint. Something of a cross-over with elements of rock, post-rock, stoner rock and psychedic rock. You may have other ideas. 🙂
MODERATOR EDIT:

@kileyoto was so happy she played depreston on Ellen!
Both gorgeous choices ^_^ appreciating the australiana
the lower case noises song is so immersive 😮 how have i not heard this one before
For me it's Never Be Like You by Flume. Cool song!
@d_p_4 pretty generic guitar and synths, but i love the timing on the delivery through the verses - great track overall!
@AngeloTan cannot deny it - one of the deserved hits of the year ^_^ probably no.1 in the hottest 100 this year. good balance between obligatory feature collaborations and experimental deeper electronic on the album.
This music just glues to your mind with it's melody! Plus she has a lovely voice!
Ghost – Lianne La Havas

I listened to this non stop for awhile but nowadays I listen to everything on my Spotify. This song is still one of my favorites though.
@musicologynyc it's a niche/cult band for sure, but also that way for the genre - in the same way that a lot of country requires disillusionment, a penchant for nostalgia, life dissatisfaction, it's punkish melodrama XD
and the same with metal - a lot of people either love it or hate it depending on whether they connect with that message and the emotions it evokes, otherwise it just feels "generic" or "noisey".
One live take. Just featured on the show "Better Things." Dig it!
Ah, sacrilege how dare you. 🙂
"and the same with metal - a lot of people either love it or hate it depending on whether they connect with that message and the emotions it evokes, otherwise it just feels generic or noisey."
Metal music is so much more today than what it was when it picked up it's cues and direction from 70's era Punk Rock, and the power or heavy direction of classic Hard Rock from the previous generation of musical output. So many sub genres now that there is something for everyone who loves music, even from the Metal direction now that music listeners who do not like Metal could get into it rather easily. 🙂
Pick a music style from the past and Metal / Hard Rock music has now craved out a niche in it. Symphonie, Opera, Theatrical, Folk, Blues, Jazz, Country and Western, etc.
But labels and music styles aside, whatever floats your boat, go for it.
@user-removed That's coming from me, who likes a lot of metal.
Metal is just a polarising set of genres, and it's followers are the most loyal. It's one, if not the most, where many people will never try it because it is so intense.
I didn't mean to detract from the diversity or value of the genre XD
You didn't, I am old enough and smart enough not to be offended over someone taking jabs at a music label or scene now a days. 🙂 The reason for the smiley faces.
@user-removed That sounds like a challenge! 😉
Their new album just came out and I'm loving it so much spotify:track:7kAykEQsPsC67ML8qQmOSW
