Playlists for Peace?

Do you think it’s possible to bridge divides and think more broadly about topical issues via music and playlists? I realise world peace won’t be achieved via Spotify playlist sharing, but this might be one way we can chip away at the forces which seek to divide us?

Which genres seem most promising for this? This is my playlist of Folk and Americana recorded in 2024-2025, which I think is a promising genre for bringing a broad range of people together, are any songs too provocative for the people you know? It’s definitely not avoiding difficult issues (some lyrics are different from what you’d expect from the titles):

It’s 2024 and 2025 recordings of country, folk punk, roots, Americana, bluegrass. Mostly new and topical featuring Jesse Welles, Jordan Davis, Grace Petrie, Sierra Ferrell, Willi Carlisle and more. Catchy melodies and impactful lyrics, for protest song fans, rebellious spirits and thinking people of varied opinions.

Do you have a playlist which expresses different perspectives or perhaps protest singers?
