Great idea to start a thread about our favorite new releases, @Sebasty!
The most recent release that I’ve added to my Spotify library is a single by the stoner/doom metal band Monolord, entitled “The Weary” (released on September 14th), which is from their upcoming album to be released in four weeks:

The track begins with crushing fuzz distortion and thundering bass notes, while an ominous lead guitar melody soon joins in. After the initial instrumental section, “The Weary” has a more melodic stoner rock sound, with sustained fuzz guitar chords nicely underscoring the first verse and choruses. More clean-toned, introspective guitar notes highlight the lyrics in the second verse quite well, and I also really like the unique riff that bridges the verses and choruses. I think "The Weary" sounds great all the way through, and am looking forward to hearing the other tracks on Monolord’s upcoming album!
The other release from last month that I've added to my Spotify library is “Canyon Moon” by the psychedelic rock band Giobia, released on September 9th by Heavy Psych Sounds Records (one of my favorite record labels, which has signed many of the bands that I listen to often):

“Canyon Moon” begins with an eerie keyboard melody, while an otherworldly organ drone soon joins in along with a few heavy guitar chords punctuated by powerful drumming. After a dynamic drum shuffle, the reverb-laden electric guitar melodies begin, driven by the propulsive rhythms of the bass and drums. Throughout the beginning of “Canyon Moon”’s melodic passages, the guitars are echoed nicely by spacey synth notes; while an assortment of additional synth effects throughout the track (reminding me at times of Øresund Space Collective) add further to its ethereal yet driving psychedelic/space rock atmosphere. I think this track sounds great all the way through as well!
Cheers!
