After reading the question two artists came instantly to my mind when I listen to Lil Peep I always think about XXXTENTACION because I think their music styles are similar.

Hey there @AdamDamon and @Heythatsme, 

I've always thought that two bands that sound so similar to each other that sometimes I can't tell which is who are Depeche Mode and Camouflage.

Both bands work on the field of synth pop and new wave and not only the synthesizer music they create sounds identical, but even the male vocals are similar.
