I pared my list down to my 5 favorites.

The cover of The Middle by Audrey Assad is a REALLY interesting take on the original by Jimmy Eat World (which is much more upbeat). I still remember where I was when I first heard Black Steel - I was in a Comics/CD store in Massachusetts (Newbury Comics) when I was around 18 and they were playing it in the store over their speakers and I recognized the lyrics from Public Enemy but it was being sung by a female and it was a much different, but great, version. Hope there's one of these 5 that you enjoy!
