1.7Gb of Junk vs 80MB, the original app size

Hi all,

I have an iPhone 5s with the latest iPhone 5s availalbe OS. This issue existed, 1 year ago, while I was having the latest available OS and Spotify versions. It is not dependent on the OS or Spotify version. My phone is of 12Gb, and I cannot afford apps that get close to 2GB.

Currently, there are several data junk issues with Spotify, my junk cleaning app doesn't help.

- my Spotify app hoes to 1.7Gb after listening songs for a week, not by saving offline playlist, after reinstalling, its occupies 80MB

- it doesn't flush the data after removing the offlien playlist. I suspect that the max 1.7Gb is being build from offline playlist data as well.

- there was an intresting moment when I didn't save my offlein playlist but it played from the cached files. I was happy of the mistake, but than at the end of the playlist, when I wanted to repeat the playlit again, the files were not available. I don't suspect that the files were flushed. I suspect that the app acknowledge to go from the cached state to the offline state. The app should have done at least one of the following: do not play  the cached files, repeat the playlist of cached files, flush the cached files after stopping the playlist.

Hope that my post is useful, and hopefully the developers will find an easy fix.

Kind regards,

Tudes

Hey @christudor, welcome to the Community!

Try clearing your offline devices here. After that, reinstall the app following the steps listed here

Let us know if the issue persists after that.
