2020 Wrapped STORY skipping through slides

My spotify just zooms past every slide in the slideshow for Spotify Wrapped for no reason. I cannot look at any other of my slides except for the last one when it stops. Why? How do I fix this.

Hey everyone!

 

Thanks for your reports and cooperation on this.

 

With the help of many of you from the Community, we were able to identify the cause of this, which seems to lie outside of the the app itself.

 

In order to prevent the slides from skipping make sure to turn off your battery saving features and check under your device's developer or accessibility settings to ensure animations are configured as mentioned here and here.


We have received confirmations across multiple channels that following these steps resolves the issue. We want to thank @Lajobu , @1122054442  and everyone else who contributed to this.

 

Please be aware that this thread is specifically for your stories skipping. If you're experiencing other issues, we will not be able to address them here. Take a look here for more information if you're not seeing your personalized Wrapped experience for example.

I AM ALSO HAVING THIS ISSUE! it is incredibly obnoxious, especially since i was really REALLLY excited to see my wrapped this year edit: I HAVE FOUND A FIX! if you turn your battery saver mode off, it will be normal!

Update: I followed the spotify wrapped LINK on my phone and it took me to my story but when I got there it auto-skipped through the whole story I couldn't pause it on any page, and when it got to the end it would only show One page of the whole story. Spotify fix this.

My Question or Issue

When i start it all the things end in less than two seconds, I can barely see anything. What can I do?

The same thing is happening to me! I even tried deleting and reinstalling the app but it didn't seem to work. My 2020 Wrapped story keeps skipping to the end and then the app crashes as a whole. I hope they fix whatever it is soon.

I have Sony Xperia operating on Android version 7.1. I am also having this same issue, and it happened last year, too! So annoying!

This is exactly what happened in my case, it flashed through all the pages of the story in a second and I couldn't pause on any of them. Had even updated the app fully and uninstalled/reinstalled beforehand

My Question or Issue

I'm trying to open my 2020 Spotify Wrapped, but everytime I do, the highlights/slideshow goes too fast to even show the content. I tried to replay the beginning, uninstalled the app and installed it again, and even tried to see if there's an update for the app but there isn't any at the moment! What do I do?
