30 sec clip. A CLIP!?

Its so unbelievably retarded that when posting a track to fb you only get a 30 second clip. About 50% of my time on fb i used to share and dicuss music with friends or in groups. Who wants just a bit of the song? The coolest part may be 2:34 into the song, a bridge at 1;54, the intro maybe, or just the full feeling of the darn song. Disrespectful to both artists and listeners. At least thered YouTube for sharing stuff.

Hey @fetterfarse! Thanks for coming to the community!

Users can click the track to open it in Spotify and hear the full track. Non-Spotify users can hear 30 seconds of the song. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Take care! 🙂

It would be so unbelievably illegal if anyone can listen to a whole song without paying at all. It would be also disrespectful to artists. Yeah, sharing songs is not easy, so is sharing movies or books.

Not for me. It shows up on my FB page as a 30 second clip. No tapping instructions or anything. Just a thirty second clip. I'm a spotify users and everything.

Yeah...this is total BS. Didn't used to be like this. I produce music and used to share tons of stuff back/forth with friends on my Slack channel. But they put an end to that. I love that they have marked this as "not an issue"....you guys need to listen to your customers.

As to the "answer" given by Spotiy...you guys have completely missed the point. The reason one would post a song in a message thread is to avoid having to outside the messager to hear the track.

Saying "all they have to do it click the link, open spotify in a browser, login and listen..." lol. Are you serious? Do you not realize how big an incovienence this is? It's seriously enough to change steaming providers...
