From my perspective this is more of a bug report but I did not find a better way to report it.
I was inquired to verify my account and got a verification mail apparently without any link as the button seemed to be ommited by my browser / webclient (horde) / whatever. It worked as I opened the html separately, but this was really confusing to me. You may consider also including a less fancy verification link in the verification mails.

If you're still unable to access your Spotify account or get asked to verify, make sure you restart the app and keep it updated to the latest version.
