Add to queue option for playlists missing on Android devices

We've received reports from Android users that the Add to queue option is missing from the three dots menu on playlists. This is being investigated.

Hey folks,

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

We’re happy to announce that this should be fixed in an upcoming version of the app, so stay tuned and make sure to keep Spotify updated. In the meantime, in case you still haven't received the update on your end, you can force stop the app from your Android device's Settings > Apps > Spotify and then reopen it - that should do the trick!

If you're still having trouble you can post a new thread in the relevant help board here.

Have a good one!

My Question or Issue

For the last couple years, I have enjoyed the feature of simply adding an entire playlist to Queue in the same way I can currently add an entire album to Queue. As of last night, Sept. 8, that feature is no longer available. What happened and how do I restore this feature?

I'm replying because I also have this issue. Went to go add this week's release radar and the add to que option was gone. I can add individual songs and albums but not playlists

My Question or Issue

Until just a couple of days ago, I could queue multiple playlists, but suddenly there is no ability to add playlists to the queue. I haven't updated my software. Is this a decision by Spotify?

I am having the exact same issue on my device. No active update that I'm aware of. I know I'd added a playlist to my queue no more than 48 hours ago, probably less. A temporary workaround is that I can still add a playlist to my queue on the desktop app, then play on the app, which updates the queue on my phone, and then switching back to my phone as the player, but this is not a reasonable solution long-term. I would very much like this feature back.

Hey Toby, I discovered the exact same workaround and feel the same about it not being a tenable long term solution. If I'm not mistaken following this apparent "faux update" there is another option in clicking the 3 dots that I don't remember seeing before: "Add to this Playlist" (vs. the standard "Add to Playlist"). That option is available neither on the desktop nor Wep App. Have you seen it? I wonder if there was a swap?

BigMoney62

Hmm...this is shaping up to be a most recent anomaly! I hope Spotify gets the drift on this and responds.

It's not just Android. The option is gone from the MacOS desktop app too.

BigMoney62

Hmm...NielsKersic,

I can still see the "Add to Queue" option on my MacOS Desktop.

NielsKersic

@BigMoney62 I had the option until this morning, but now it's suddenly gone.
