Album Covers Don't Show on iOS Lock Screen Player

We've been getting reports that album covers don't appear correctly on the iOS lockscreen. This is being investigated.

iOS version: 18.3.2

Issue: Song covers not showing properly, certain songs do not show me their covert art, despite them being downloaded. As soon as Spotify plays one of those songs, it stops showing me the covers for all the songs, no matter if I am online or offline. I have to restart the app in order for it to work, but eventually happens again.

Hey I just fixed this problem. I was out of town for the weekend and had turned on my Surfshark vpn for work. It was still on and as soon as I turned it off and reconnected the album artwork came back after restarting the Spotify app.
Spotify version 9.0.32

iOS 18.3.2

Surfshark 3.23.1

If the issue persists, please provide us the following info:

• The exact app version you're on: 9.0.32.638
• What iOS version you're using: 18.3.2
• Does it happen after listening to local files? Does it happen to all songs after breaking? It happens after I listen to a local filed song with no art cover, then it plays every over song with no art cover, it won't show on the lock screen, dynamic island, nor apple carplay, but it'll show in the spotify app itself, I have to restart spotify for it to show the art cover again. The issue also happens when I skip songs too fast and it stumbles upon a song with no album cover, and it'll apply the to the rest of the songs

Noticed the cover arts almost always never display on the lock screen or the island (iPhone 15 Pro Max), so I thought a clean reinstall of the app would do the trick. 

It worked for a tiny bit, as I played some songs and tested if the cover art would display. It was only until I started migrating Local Files that all of a sudden, EVERY SINGLE SONG DID NOT DISPLAY THEIR COVER ART— EVEN THE ONES THAT I INITIALLY TESTED! kinda **bleep** :<
