Album art / Song name not showing on Volvo after spotify update

I have a Volvo V40 and connect my phone via the cable, before last up-date I could see every track and album art on my Volvo screen. Now when I connect up I get the album art and track name but when Spotify goes onto the next track or I press skip all I get is 'Spotify' no name or art work. If I manually pull the plug out and put it back in the art will appear again but only for first track. Keen to know if this is effecting anyone else as presume its any car that connects this way and if Spotify have a known issue ? thanks v much. Im using IOS / Iphone 6S and Spotify version is  8.0.0.529

Hi @james_0121, welcome to the Spotify Community!

 

We'd recommend restarting your iPhone by holding Home + Lock for 10 seconds. Does that help? Also, could you give it a try using Bluetooth?

I'm having the same trouble when connecting my iphone via Cable with my Volvo. I already restarted the phone and nothing happened. Via Blotooth the album and track name are displayed but not the artwork. Im also using IOS /Iphone 6s and Spotify version 8.1.0.623. I tried with an Iphone 7 and the same result. Thank in advance for your help with this matter!

Hey @FSCR! Thanks for letting us know about this.

 

We're still waiting on @james_0121's input on this, but we'd like to know if it's possible for you guys to give Spotify a quick reinstall using these steps. Give it a shot and let us know if that helps at all.
