My Question or Issue

I have all the proper settings enabled, earlier I had problems with the status display itself (it used to not show up sometimes), now the problem has become that the album/music art is missing in the status and the album name is null. Bots are not able to display my status on chat. (See attachment)

Hey folks,

Thanks for staying with us.

Writing to confirm everything should work as expected if you make sure both Spotify and Discord are updated to the latest version before trying again.

Cheers!

Hey @Anurag9Craft,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

In order to get to the bottom of this we'd need to go through some troubleshooting steps.

Can you try running a clean reinstall of Spotify on your device by following the steps here.

If that doesn't change anything, create a new free test account and try linking that one to your Discord.

Let us know if you still get the same results.

Cheers.

My Question or Issue

I've never had this issue before but recently my Spotify discord status no longer shows the album art and now also says it is playing 'on null'.

I have tried everything from disconnecting to reconnecting, un-installing and clearing files then re-installing, to even making a new account but none of it worked.

I can see the album art of other users' Spotify songs but not my own.spotify.png

I really hope I don't get told to do the same things I have already tried. I've gone through lots of similar posts about the 'solutions' but none worked.

What should I do?

Thanks.

Hi there @MiniWheenie,

Thanks for posting on this thread and welcome to the Community!

Just to confirm, did you already try running a clean reinstall of the Spotify app by following these specific steps?

If that didn't do the trick, try disconnecting your Discord and Spotify accounts > logging out > restarting your device > connecting your accounts again.

It's also a good idea to reinstall Discord as well.

If the issue persists, try using a different connection and let us know if that makes any difference.

Keep us posted. We'll be on the lookout.

So I have this issue where the broadcasting feature wont show the album cover nor the album name (it just says "null"). Ive tried restarting my phone, reinstalling the app (including clear reinstalls). Ive also tried reconnecting my account and nothing has changed.

tbh, you can't do anything about it, we have to wait for discord or Spotify to fix this.

Hey @MiniWheenie and @Drippin,

Thanks for your replies on this thread.

Could you give it a try on a different device and let us know if there's any difference?

We also recommend trying with a different account, like a friend's or relative's, and let us know if the issue persists. This will help us determine if the issue is account or device-related.

Keep us in the loop.

On my PC it's fine but I unfortunately don't have another device I could try it on. I don't think it's a spotify problem anymore but a discord mobile bug since the latest update .. I could be wrong though.
