Description:

Some users report that they are receiving advertising (on Spotify Free) in the incorrect language. 

To reproduce:

1. Launch Spotify (using Spotify Free)
2. Wait for Advertising.

Workaround:

None

So, my IP is correct (City, Area, Country, Europe).

My online profile is set to germany, correct too.

But I get a france advertisement. Funny thing is, sometimes my google ask me if i want to switch to google.FR instead of google.DE ....

I contacted my provider, but they said everythings ok. See my IP-Adress. Is fine. Even our smartphones (via wlan) asked once if we want to switch to google.FR !

I checked my router, everythings fine there. I forwarded that issue via bug-formular to google, since then everythings fine again.

Google knows im from germany now, never asked that again. Perhaps Google / Spotify thought my IP range is france.

Because I have a nearly always static IP, this could be the problem. Google knows that now, and it's fixed. But Spotify is still france 😞

And that's really annoying, because if I hear advertisements, then I want to understand them!

I'm near to want to block ads.... but that doesn't support spotify at all!

I noticed this bug on Windows 8.1

My profile lists me as being in Australia

Country listed on the IP locater is Australia

Language the ad comes up in is Chinese, Cantonese specifically.
